Let's go on an Adventure .........

Safari Adventure Tag Album Clare Charvill Graphic 45
morning everyone, or is it afternoon, it's another warm and sunny one here in the UK; it's beginning to feel like summer lol!!!
I'm really excited to be featured on the Graphic 45 blog with Nico today, sharing my take on a mini tag album made from a few of the single tags in the Square Black Tag Album set and papers from the Safari Adventure collection. As you know I absolutely love this collection and the Tiger and really had to stop myself from using him on my album cover again, so I set the scene of the album by using a fussy cut image of the lady on Safari peeking out through the undergrowth.  There are photo frames all the way through the album to add you pics in too.

And here he is ............ that gorgeous Tiger :-)

Why not grab a coffee and head over to the Graphic 45 blog to see more of my little album,  a full supply list and instructions on how to make it yourself along with a stunner of an album by Nico too.
I"m off to play taxi again so have a great rest of your day, thanks for calling by and hope to see you back here for more crafty inspiration very soon :-) C

Happy 21st Birthday Sophie

Happy 21st Sophie
Whop Whop and a big shout out to the uber lovely Sophie Lowe - Oli's gorgeous girlfriend who's celebrating her 21st Birthday today.  She's one special girlie swirly and just the best girlfriend Oli could have. Sophie if you're reading this have fabulous day with Oli and look forward to seeing you later for dinner.
Sophie & Oli
During my Crazy Bird phase I altered another one of my 'Box It 'kits in blue and then made 20 matching note cards to go inside. This time I joined the base to the spine and added a black card section to hold the 6' x 4' note cards and envelopes in place inside.
Such a fun project to make, and so many things you can do with a little bit of ink. I've always had a fascination for inks. Mum was a draftswoman and I remember watching and talking to her for hours while she worked. She had a box of the most gorgeous coloured ink bottles that was kept under a sideboard. They fascinated me, as they has droppers and squeezy rubber bobbles on the lids; so easy to squeeze the ink out - which I think I did all over the carpet. I got into trouble for that ...... along with many other mischievous things I 'm sure. Sarah if you're reading this roller skates and skipping elastic sprung into my mind as I was typing this!!!  Funny what you remember from when you were very small isn't it.  Anyway I digress ...............  here are the cards.

A great time had by all at Lanhydrock

Crazy Birds; bird crazy, Tim Holtz
Morning, I'm home ............!  what a great time we all had at the Cornwall Papercraft Show on Saturday at Lanhydrock Hotel.  Julie, thank you sooooo much for all your help on the stand during the day
and huge thanks too to every one who came along to the show and joined in our make and takes.  It was really lovely to see you all. Ruth and Wendy did a grand job organising the event - it's so easy to forget how much hard work goes in behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly, and it did.
It was a real whirlwind of a trip this time, and after meeting up with friends in Falmouth on Saturday night for a good old catch up I headed home yesterday without even stepping foot on a beach.  The weather was pretty grim though, more suited to ducks or seagulls lol!!! and definitely not what you'd expect for mid August by the sea. I really feel for all the holiday makers camping down there.  It really has been a wet and windy summer.
Wendy has confirmed the next show will be on Saturday 11th March 2017 - definitely a date for the diary. Hope to see you there......
I'm off to grab a coffee, and then unpack the car ready for a trip down to Peterborough tomorrow...............
Enjoy your day, thanks for calling by and I'll be back with something a little crafty to share with you over the next few days.

Get creative with our August Giveaway

Bird Crazy
Box it Kit and Stamp Storage Kit by My Creative Spirit

Evening everyone it's been a gorgeous day here and the sun has been shining in as I've crafted away altering another new kit we have out today on the website. Called the 'Box It' kit it's a really versatile addition to our ever growing range, and can be altered in a number of ways.  It comes flat packed, with instructions on how to put it together as an album cover or make it into the box version (above)

I've gone for box version on my sample today, and created a Bird Box for all my Crazy Bird stamps, dies and sentiments stamps. The base is of the box is 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" and the lid just a little under 8 1/2". A great size to hold an album (sample on it's way) and to use up those smaller paper pads we all like to work with Why not create your own journal in a box. So many options for this great kit.  I've used inks and white card to alter the pictured sample, after joining all the pieces together using our black construction tape - no painting involved and no waiting for paint to dry either ....... another bonus if you're an impatient crafter like me :-)  Here's a few more pics from different angles

I'm back with our July Giveaway Winner

Bird Crazy Inktense pencils

Surprise Surprise it's me 'le Clare' back with a very late winner announcement for our July Giveaway Having worked all but five days last year I decided to take a very long holiday after my Sister left at the end of July, and have been enjoying time outside, de cluttering every where and spending time with Harry bean before he heads off to Hogwarts (that's what his Uni college is called) in just under a month. Very apt as he was a huge Harry Potter fan when he was younger.

Congratulations Cheryl, if you could mail me your address to mycreativespirituk@gmail.com when you have a minute I'll get your ATC Box off to you in the post. Thank you too if you left a comment.  I loved reading them all.
After receiving quite a few asks for a desktop storage solution for stamps and cards I'm really pleased to be sharing our new kit.  Easy to assemble (video guide included) it's a kit that can be altered in any medium to suit your home decor or craft room colour scheme and will hold oodles of A5 and smaller stamp plates or cards as you make them.

Bird Crazy

I've had great fun altering my sample with blue and green distress inks, stamped crazy birds coloured with my new Inktense pencils from Derwent. Love love love them.  I know they've been out for ages, but I'm a paper girl at heart and am real slow when it comes to new products lol!!! I just couldn't resist buying the box of 24 when I saw they were half price in the Art Sale at Hobbycraft, and now wonder why I waited so long to get some. I've been colouring while watching the Olympics .......... and now have enough cards to fill my storage unit.  Will have to make up another one to keep up with myself.

Sharing a New Tutorial

Well can you believe it's Friday - this time last week I was waiting to collect my little sis from the station and this morning I dropped her back off to catch the train back to Truro - where has the time gone.  We've had a fab week visiting family and friends, entertaining and enjoying fab food cooked by Annie (high fat low carb style) and lost weight too.  Result :-)   The house seems strangely quiet and surprise surprise it's raining again............ so I've grabbed a coffee and sat down to share a new post with you ahead of what could be a very wet weekend.
With larger sheets to work with its easy to create and cover larger projects with a professional finish.  The album has a floating spine and covers that sit flat as you open the book.  With four double sided pages and the inside of both covers you can create ten scrapbook pages that measure 11 3/4" x 11 1/2 or as I did in the original album five double scrapbook pages from A Ladies Diary Deluxe Collectors Edition. You can personalise the album by adding a picture in the frame on the front or leave the cover plain.
Links to the PDF Tutorials to make the basic album and the full Ladies Diary Scrapbook and pics are below:

We added black and white photos of ourselves to our albums , they really did look fabulous.
If you're itching to get your hands on the new collections from Graphic 45 we're taking pre orders for them over on the website.
I've got so many ideas flying around in my head I can't wait for my Ambassador box to arrive and see them in the flesh lol!!!
We'll be using the St Nicholas collection for a number of projects at my November Retreat and I'll we'll be crafting with the Cafe Parisian papers at a couple of workshops in Edinburgh on 10th  and 14th September. Details of those are on the blog - click here for more info
I'm off to run the hover round the lounge and then collapse for the eve I think.  Thanks for calling by, have a great eve yourself and look forward to catching up again over the next few days :-) C.
