We have a new Folio album out today on the Website.  A great album to make from one 8 x 8 pad and a few sheets of patterns and solids If you're a new crafter this is a perfect project to make - not too large and of course they make great keepsakes and gifts. Altered in the new Midnight Masquerade collection by Graphic 45 there are stunning teals, purples and oranges running through the papers.  It really was fun to cut up the papers and match them all together through the pages.
Here's the link to the PDF Tutorial if you'd like to make the album yourself.

Another fun mini album make

Hellloooooo, sadly the eeeby geebies got the better of me this week after filming so I'm a little later than panned sharing the last of this weeks easy to make albums
So here it is, a fun little 8" x 5" album, perfect to add a picture under each pocket on the pages. The structure is made from card/cardstock and is just the right size to alter in papers from the smaller pads we have in our hoards:-)
My Ambassador box arrived direct from Graphic 45 on Tuesday. Thank you Diane, Charee and Aimee for all the gorgeous new collections.  Each one is absolutely stunning.  Much as I wanted to get creating I could only bring myself to cut into three papers from the Midnight Masquerade collection to use on this little album. I found a pad of An Eerie Tale patterns and solids and used the purple and orange papers on the inside pages.  The colours from both collections work so well together. I had to add a few feathers to finish off the masks on the front cover................. too.
Here's a couple more pictures of the first of my little albums, the supply list and video video for you to follow along to if you fancy making this little album yourself.

Valentine Day Keepsake Album and Case

Sending you crafty hugs this Valentine Day.  I'm sharing a fun Valentine themed album custom made to fit in my new 8 x 8 Shadow Box kit with you today. It's also making an appearance on the Graphic 45 blog today too, along with fabulous projects from design team members Kath and Maggie. Click here to go over and take a peek. (after 1pm GMT)
I had a rummage (I'm doing a lot of that lately) through my paper hoard (mountain lol!) and pulled out a mix of Valentine themed papers from A Place in Time, Time to Flourish and Sweet Sentiment collections by Graphic 45, teamed them up with black papers from French Country and Nature Sketchbook collections and crafted them into this fun little expanding album, all tied up with red ribbons that have the cutest little black hearts on the ends.
The album sits in our new 8 x 8 Shadow Box Kit which makes a great case to hold a keepsake.  I've customised the box, creating a hinged lid using my black construction tape and adding boxed sides from scored card to create a holder for the 7 3/4" x 6 1/4" album to fit in.
I love how all the collections work so well together. You can make gorgeous bespoke projects in themed colours from papers in your stash.
Here's some close up pics of the inside of the case, album cover and pages: There's a link to the full video for the project and one that shows you how to make the basic album too after the photos.

A Picture Postcard Album

Mother Goose Album Cover Clare Charvill Graphic 45

Morning everyone, I'm really excited to be sharing my large Nature Sketchbook album over on the Graphic 45 blog today along with Pam who shares her fun nature themed Bird Box.

Nature Sketchbook online workshop
It's quite a detailed album with a full on line workshop (link above) if you'd like to make it yourself. While I was flicking through the pages I thought it would be fun to go back to basics and share some easy ways to create albums with you this week.
Albums don't have to be complicated to look gorgeous and sometimes it's refreshing to simplify things down, create simple structures and then let the papers you decorate them in shine out from the pages.
Over Christmas Annie, my sister asked if we could make an album for a friend of hers to give to her granddaughter, for all the postcards she she sends her from her travels.  Of course I said, so I had a rummage through all my old paper collections, gathered up a pile of Mother Goose papers and embellishments (we thought these would be perfect),  put them all in the car with a supply of chipboard and black card and while we were together we had a fun day creating the album.  Annie was the layout designer and I was the sticker together.  What a great team we were.  Amazingly it took us 11 hours to create the finished album.  Here's how it came out..........
Mary Had A Little Lamb........

Hey Diddle Diddle........

 Humpty Dumpty ...........

 Little Miss Muffet..........

 Little Boy Blue............

 Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.................

 Mary Mary quite contrary...................

 Rock a bye Baby......................

Mother Goose........was the title of the compilation of Nursery Rhymes ......... we didn't know that
Isobelle loved it too.
The pages are 6"deep x 8" wide and work perfectly with the size of the large picture cut outs from the papers which made instant pockets. The horizontal pocket pages were created as one piece making it a quick album base to construct. This is a great album to make if you're new to crafting as all the pages are flat - designed to hold postcards (or photos straight into the pockets. You could even make it with your young children/grandchildren if they love to get creative.  Here's the supply list and what to cut out for the basic album and a video on how to put the basic album together.
Supply List
Two Chipboard Covers 8 1/4" x 6 1/4"
One chipboard Spine 6 1/4" x 3"

Cut one piece 6" x 5" - put tape around all edges one one side
Pocket Pages and vertical pockets
6 x black card pages 8" wide x 8 1/4" deep - scored at 6" from one long side
Six black card pieces cit at 7" x 4 1/8" wide - score all 1/2" in from each short edge
now follow along with me to put your basic album together
use papers you have to decorate your album in your own style and enjoy :-)
Have a lovely day, and do call back again tomorrow when I'll be sharing my Valentine Album and how to make it. Ta ta 'till then :-) Cx

An Fun Evening in Kenilworth

Afternoon everyone, we're all cozied up here, snow flakes are wafting around outside, the wood burner's on and it's feeling really wintery.  I headed off to our local cricket club on Wednesday eve to host a workshop for our local Womens' Circle and Tangent groups. Huge thanks Deb and Melanie for inviting me along and to all the ladies for joining me for our crafty evening.  It was lovely to meet you all.  During our evening we had fun assembling and decorating exploding gift boxes kits in an assortment of papers from the Cafe Parisian collection by G45, ate cake and had a great time.
Here's a few pics of the busy ladies and their crafty makes.

A Gorgeous Album by Margaret

hellloooooooo there.  I'm not sure if you caught the post and pics I shared a few posts ago of Donna, Cheryl and Anne crafting away on their Event Organiser Kits but a lovely crafty friend Margaret, Yorkshire did and, inspired by what she'd seen sent me in pictures of her stunning Mon Amour Post Bound album for me to share with you all.  Made for her sister and her husband the album was part of their Christmas Stocking. They were thrilled with Margarets gorgeous gift.  I  love how the pages pop off the black backing.  Just beautiful Margaret. Here's a few more pictures.
Margaret used our Post Bound Album kit to make her album, available from our website.  Here's the link if you'd like to make one yourself.
