Grab yourself a bargain

Morning everyone, just sharing our weekend offer with you today. Take advantage grab yourself a bargain over on the website

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuu Sarah x

After noon everyone, just a quick post from me today to wish my lovely, life long friend Sarah a very Happy !@££$$%%£@! Birthday.  We've known each other for, can you believe over 50 years ......! So looking forward to our girly catch up tomorrow eve.  Five of us are getting together; if you add up all our ages they total almost the same number as there are days in a year - give or take a month lol!!! Can you believe it.
I've also got a new album to share with you.  Altered in papers from the Off to the Races collection the finished album measures approx 8 1/2" square and 2 3/4" deep, has four interactive pages, Claireeeee style with room for loads of your favourite pics and can be made in or out of its boxed cover.  The boxed cover does make it a nifty way to keep all the pages neat and store the album too. Dimensions on how to make the box are included in the PDF Tutorial or you can use our 'Box It' kit.  The collection has a horsey theme running through it but if that's not your thing there are some beautiful 'B' side papers making it easy to create projects with a totally different theme.  Team the papers up with Patterns and Solids and Ephemera cards and create a truly vintage keepsake. With it's My Fair Lady and Gone with the Wind themes this is one gorgeous collection to craft with.  Paper pads and Ephemera cards are available on our website.  Links to all supplies are listed below along with a few more pics of the album.

Have a fun weekend, thanks for calling by and do call back next week and take part in our December Giveaway.  :-) C

Let the countdown begin .................and our November Giveaway Winner

Whop Whop it's the 1st December, and only 24 sleeps until Christmas.  I'm really excited to be sharing my alternative take on an Advent Box with all the G45ers over on the G45 blog today along with a fabulous December Daily project by Lena.  Click on the link above to head over and enjoy toady's and all the other amazing projects from my fellow design team members and Ambassadors.
I love the St Nicholas collection with it's traditional colours and vintage pictures of St Nick children and toys. With so many mix and match options through the papers it makes choosing what to work with a really difficult task, they're all so gorgeous. Eventually I went with stripes (my favourite) for the base of my box above and a plain green lid with a black insert to show case the fabulous St Nick in. The great thing about the box is you're not limited to the size of presents you put inside.  Jane had a great idea as we were making them at my retreat.  She was making hers for her son and planned to add bags of savoury nibbles to the end of the ribbons so he could have a savoury surprise every day rather than sweets.  You could customise the gifts to suit someones hobbies or just make it an under the tree box or a table box for Christmas day too by adding names rather than numbers to the tags.  There are lots of possibilities to go with on this one.  Here's a few more pics ...........

Happy Birthday Harry

Graphic 45 Workshop, AFE Creations Clare Charvill Ambassador UKEvening everyone,  last week seemed to fly by in a whirl and before I knew it I was on my way up the M1 to host a Graphic 45 weekend of crafting with Julie and her lovely ladies at AFE Creations, Skelton, North Yorks.  We had a fan dabby dozzy time,  two days of non stop creativity, chin wagging and fabulously tasty food.  Ladies thank you so much for making the weekend such a huge success and Julie, huge thanks for your fabulous hospitality again.  Oh and a special mention to Lynne who came along and joined the gorup for the first time.  It was lovely to meet you :-)
Here's a few pics taken over our two days;

smiles all round at the end of day 1 ........

I'll be back up at AFE Creations for another Graphic 45 weekend of crafting in August 2017 - look forward to seeing you all again then ladies.
Today I jumped in the car again and headed down to Cheltenham to spend some time with Harry on his 19th Birthday.  Where have those years gone - time has literally flown as he's grown from small to tall.  We had a fab time, some great food, squeezed in some retail therapy and then headed back to his digs for cake.  I love our times together.  Heather, Harrys' flat mate lent me some of her coffee too - thanks Heather :-)

Only 4 sleeps to go ...........!

morning, morning, morning........... I hope you had a lovely weekend.  It's been all go here, I'm on my fifth pad of St Nicholas paper and have just finished the fifth of our fabulously festive Christmas projects!!!! for this weekend.  There's four sleeps to go and one project to finish.....................!!!!!  I'll share that one with you before Friday.
The project today is this years' Event Organiser.  If you haven't seen it before it's my Event Organiser Kit, designed last year to hold all sorts of things you might want to keep, plan or store for or from an event, like a baby shower, wedding, celebration etc..... oh and Christmas of course.  The box measured  8 1/2" high 10" wide and  7" deep has a lift up lid, two drawers a file folder and planner in it, and can be decorated in one 12 x 12 pad of paper.
It took me nearly two hours to work out where to start yesterday, morning,  there were papers every where and I dithered about for what seemed like forever swapping them around until I finally settled the traditional Christmas colours, St Nick on the front and a plain background on the box and album covers so the flowers popped off the paper. The album covers are quite flat (minimal which is my style) as they have to fit in a 2" wide space.  I finished making the whole thing at just after midnight.......................  but loved how it came out.  There will be a full project sheet available to go with the kit in the 'PDF Tutorials' section of my website after the retreat, so if you fancy making this fun project check out the link in about 10 days time.
I'm off to cut into the sixth and last 12 x 12 pad of paper and complete the last of our projects. ( I love it, and am totally inspired by all Diane designs).  Enjoy your day what ever you're up to and do call back again to catch up with the final project we'll be making  this weekend............. ta ta for now :-) C

We will always Remember...........

Evening everyone, my post today is dedicated to Armistice Day and the memory of the brave men and women who served our country and sadly didn't return.

My 'Peace' plaque was created using PaperArtsy stamps and paints in creams yellows and toffee. The background has five layers of stamping and paint wash on it to create the hazy effect. My poppy was stamped out three times on tissue paper, painted on the reverse and then curled and layered over the stalk. The centre was stamped separately, cut out, layered over the petals and then I used paper glue and flowersoft to create the texture. The poem and soldiers were stamped on tissue paper, painted on the reverse and then stuck in place so they appear in the foreground. When I'd finished I thought the plaque had a strangely ethereal feel to it.

I'm beavering away here on the larger projects for next week - they're looking good and very Christmassy :-) I'll share another one with you tomorrow. Until then enjoy your evening and thanks for calling by: -)

Countdown to Christmas 2

St Nicholas Christmas Lantern Clare Charvill Graphic 45
Morning my crafty friends, today I'm sharing the second of the three projects we'll be making next Friday.  I love our Christmas Lantern kit, and always start to feel really festive when I decorate it. This years version has been altered in papers from the St Nicholas collection (we have a choice of six projects at next weeks retreat all altered in these papers).

I've gone for the stripes again, they fit perfectly up the stand and decided on a black and red lantern with a hint of yellow inside so the flowers, mounted on black card pop out at you :-) I added a tea light (battery operated in the centre too.  Looks lovely in the evening twinkling away. The overall height of the lantern is 21", is assembled in sections and can be taken apart to be stored away until next year.
Lantern Kits are available from website if you'd like to make one yourself. Click here.
Its scrapbook day today so I"m off to grab a coffee and put my thinking cap on.  Thanks for calling by, enjoy your day and look forward to sharing another of our retreat projects with you over the next couple of days

Counting Down to Christmas 1

St Nicholas Advent Box Clare Charvill Graphic 45
Evening every one.  Today I'm sharing the first of the choice of three projects we'll be making on day one of my Graphic 45 Crafters Retreat next week.  Our Advent Calendar with a difference allows you to add your own presents attached to the number tiles into the box in true advent calendar style. You could theme your presents for someone who loves cooking, or gardening  or............. the possibilities are endless.  Pick the tile and follow the ribbon to see what's on the end.  Maybe just twelve presents for someone special, how about a table box for the big day itself with presents inside for everyone and names on the tiles.  So many possibilities and we've got just one day to make it in next week:-)  No pressure ladies lol! I've altered my sample in a selection of papers from the St Nicholas collection by Graphic 45 for a truly vintage feel ... love it.
The basic box is available from our website - click here to view  .  Here's a few more pics
I've added some shredded paper inside to hide the presents in and must remember to add them later :-).  I hope I've inspired you to get crafty for Christmas in true G45 style. HO HO HO .....................
I'll share the other two projects with you during the week so do call back if you can.  Have a great rest of your day what ever you're up to and thanks for calling by.
